A 12 lesson course to get started with learning European Portuguese, aimed at total beginners who do not speak any other Latin languages. The focus is on building an active bank of relevant vocabulary, and learning to pronounce and recognise these words and phrases when you meet them. Lots of support and varied activities ensure you are learning and get the opportunity to put into practise what you have learnt.

In this 12 lesson course we are building on and reviewing and recycling the content of the A1.1 course, developing your listening skills and looking at some additional topics like health, time, clothes. This is a starting good course for those who know a bit of Portuguese already or speak Spanish. You will also learn about adjectives and how they work in Portuguese and begin to get a notion of the verbs.

This 12 lesson course is very comprehensive and will take you through the present tense verbs in a gentle and easy to digest way, putting everything in context and focussing on the pronunciation and everyday use of the verbs. Each lesson has a grammar, pronunciation and topic component. This is a challenging course, but very much worth the work you put in!

This 12 lesson course is moving you up a level working on the A2 content. We are starting to take away some of the support you get at A1 level, for example the translations of all the dialogues are not always there… This level is working on you making your own sentences, so we work on the ‘little words’ to join everything together, all in the usual contextualised lessons, still plenty of listening and pronunciation!

In this 12 lesson course we are again building up your Portuguese language toolkit, looking at more useful grammatical tools such as estar a, future with ir, prepositions and an insight into the imperative. All the lessons are based around topics still, and listening and pronunciation are still very much included.

This is a special 12 lesson course focussing on the past tenses. Learn how to express yourself correctly and accurately in the past, and be taken through the irregular verbs in a clear and easy to digest way, then meet the ‘other’ past tense – the imperfect - learn how easy it is, and what the difference between the two past tenses is.

In this 12 lesson course we are introducing you to longer texts, both as audio and text, and building vocabulary in useful to know areas such as technology, problems, transport, holidays, and gaining knowledge and proficiency in grammatical areas to enable you to express yourself more accurately. We'll review the past tenses, imperative and introduce the personal infinitive and compound tenses.

This 12 lesson course is aimed at helping you to become yet more precise and clear in your language and start to get a bank of idiomatic expressions so you can understand better. We will look at plenty of dialogues and texts to you will become much more familiar with the language, and some more advanced grammatical topics such as the passive voice, conditional and future tenses and reported speech.

Lots of opportunities to listen and read longer texts and you will learn how and when to make and use the conjuntivo tenses. As usual, everything is very much contextualised, using Portuguese in everyday modern situations.
